The New House

It has been an extremely crazy last couple of months.  We have officially moved to Granbury.  We have loved living in Keller and being centrally located to family, friends, shopping, church, etc.  We were both sad when the time came to actually load the moving truck and leave.  We brought Malachi home to that house and have had so many great memories there.  Like the fire in the kitchen after living in it a month (well that wasn't such a great memory, just a blessing we didn't burn the house down)!!!!
We were talking about all the renovations we had done, like replacing all the light fixtures, faucets, tile, refinishing the kitchen cabinets (I did them), getting the counter tops replaced, and tearing down all the wall paper and texturing.  When we replaced the light in the kitchen the wiring was weird so Justin had me hold a fire extinguisher while wearing my sunglasses on the opposite side of the kitchen, while he flipped the switch.  Much to our surprise it worked!!!  We have truly enjoyed that house but knew the time had come to move to Granbury and get a larger house for the future.

But on with the new right?!?!?!?

This was the day we signed the paperwork.  It is officially ours!!!

This is the front of the house.

This is a view of the kitchen from the dining area

Then den from the dining area.  The kitchen, den, and dining area are all one big open space.  The stairs lead to a playroom with a half bath that goes over the garage.

The living room.  The kids bedrooms and bathroom are to the left, the front door and master to the right.

We absolutely love the new house and large back yard.  Malachi loves all the room outside and his new room.

I'll post some pictures of it decorated later.

Moving Day

When moving day finally came we had lots of help.  I had to cancel going to Women of Faith with my parents church so we could move.  My dad, brother in law Willie and my mother in law came to help us move.  We rented the largest truck Uhaul had and everyone just knew that it was going to be large enough and we would have extra space.

Well.... I'll let the pictures do the talking.
This is what happened when I was trying to get a box of blankets down out of the attic.  We didn't know at the time I was pregnant, but when we found out, this little fall sure did scare us a lot!!  Luckily the garage door was up or there is no telling how badly I would have hurt myself.  We all thanked GOD extra hard that day.  I walked away with a scratched up leg and a very very sore body.

The truck, not full to the ceiling all the way to the end, but pretty close.

My Mother's Day present, yes as a matter of fact it is hanging out of the truck.

We filled the moving truck, Justin's truck, my dad's truck, Cindy's expedition and my expedition and we still had stuff in the house and I had given a lot away to Goodwill.

Never anticipate that moving day isn't going to take all day...because it always does.  I even had most of everything in boxes and ready to be loaded.  Oh well, we had fun and got the truck unloaded when we got to Granbury.

Malachi did sleep in our closet the first two nights, because his room didn't have a blind yet.  Don't worry it is a large closet.  The size of his old room!!!

One of these days...

I'll get caught up on here and begin documenting our life again.  I started this blog as a way to remember (other than scrapbooking, which I am way behind in too) of our wonderful family and all the adventures we are on.  This week at home I am hoping to get the playroom/craft area/mini office (for Justin) done and then maybe I'll have some time to get a good update!!!
